Hello tawny frogmouth. I learned about a new animal today. Want to see one these little guys? They are found throughout the Australian mainland, Tasmania and southern New Guinea and are often mistaken for owls. (via reddit)

Apparently just a few days ago the New Zealand's National Wildlife Center welcomed the first white kiwi bird born in captivity.

While kiwis are rare no matter what color they are, want to see what they usually look like?
