Hello Tawny Frogmouth

Hello tawny frogmouth. I learned about a new animal today. Want to see one these little guys? They are found throughout the Australian mainland, Tasmania and southern New Guinea and are often mistaken for owls. (via reddit)

Little Family

Believe it or not the blue bird is the father of the three brown chicks. These are three superb fairywren chicks huddled together with their father. (By Flickr member ppv247.)

Manukura - the little white kiwi. from Mike Heydon on Vimeo.

Apparently just a few days ago the New Zealand's National Wildlife Center welcomed the first white kiwi bird born in captivity.

While kiwis are rare no matter what color they are, want to see what they usually look like?

USB owl

This USB-powered owl toy just hangs out near your computer or laptop while you work looking cute, blinking and coyly turning it's head every once in a while. My kinda office mate. You can find it at ThinkGeek or at Japan Trend Shop.
