So, who else out there begged and pleaded with their parents to give them a quarter every trip to the supermarket so they could win the prized miniature Rubiks Cube keychains out of the gumball machine? And who out there never won one? And who out there secretly suspected there was only like one of these in the whole machine (if any) and all the rest of the prizes where crappy plastic rings but yet they still tried to win one every time?
Don't mistake this for a cardboard cat house. This is a "Cat Chalet!" Love the deer antlers at the entry way. A lovely touch. You can buy this online at Plasticashop.com or go to their awesome brick and mortar store in L.A.
This is just insane. This stop-motion animation is made entirely out of post-its. It was created by students in Japan for about 5,000 yen (around $55) and took two weeks to put together. That must have been an intense two weeks! (Discovered via TechVert)
Look! It's our old friend, the tawny frogmouth! ... Umm... tawny what?! I'd never heard of this bird until I read this article about this article which says that Seattle's Woodland Zoo is one of only 4 zoos to have bred one of these in the last six years.
Want to know what this little guy looks like when he grows up?
Be still my beating heart. This is a baking kit which helps you to make French-style macaroons. But of course in adorable shapes!
The kit comes with a special hot pink mixer contraption and molds for the cookies. I believe it also comes with the ingredients but I couldn't quite tell from the description. Needless to say you'd eventually want to be able to supply your own ingredients so you can make these over and over.
I bought these cards at a local shop not too long ago and it makes me so happy to send them out to people! I was psyched to see that the creator of these also sells them on Etsy so you can buy them online.
At only $12 for a set of 4, that price beats the pants off of Hallmark cards these days. Plus they are hand-silkscreened which really gives them an extra special look. Check them out at modernradar's Etsy shop.
