It is absolutely unnecessary to bathe a cat for that long, and backstroke its fur! If the cat mostly cooperates (with the help of someone else to hold them) you can do a good job in 3 minutes. I do wish I could bathe my kitties without a friend, though!

Wow. I'd be missing a pint of blood if I tried that. Mine won't tolerate even being in the same room as a running blow dryer. Sure, it isn't necessary to bath a cat unless it is for flea control or an unusual circumstance but maybe for those people with cant dander allergies this would be helpful. I'm amazed at how well behaved that beautiful kitty is.
