Happy Sloth at the Beach

Even sloths deserve to soak in the sun on vacation. At least this one isn't wearing a speedo like other beach sloths.

Unfortunately, this photo was taken at a beach in South America where tourists pose with these animals. The "owners" of the sloths sometimes kill the mothers to get the babies. Then they charge tourists for getting a photo with them. When the "babies" are no longer considered cute or just plain grow up, they are often either abandoned, killed, or sold to markets as "bush meat". Yeah, how cute is this now?
